Fresh and Organic Grab & Go Retailer Coming to Mayfair

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Southstar is pleased to announce that Food Box, a Texas-based convenience store chain, is coming to the Mayfair community in New Braunfels. The new 7,000-sq.-ft. location will bring an elevated grab-and-go experience to homeowners and visitors alike.

“We look for master planned and more prestigious communities when finding our next location,” managing partner AJ Badarpura said. “We have worked with Southstar in the past at Vintage Oaks, and Mayfair offered the perfect place to bring our new generation store.”

Construction on the Mayfair Food Box is expected to begin this summer, with an anticipated opening in early 2027. Situated at the corner of I-35 and Ransom Road, the store will offer all the perks of a traditional convenience store, including an Exxon gas station and a selection of healthier food options.

“The architecture will reflect the upscale community that Southstar has built and customers can expect to see more variety than a traditional convenience store,” Badapura said. “People have become more health conscious, and we carry more than just frozen food. You will find healthy snacks, fresh and organic food options, and a lot of our products are made from scratch.”

One of the standout features of the new location will be the Deli Box Kitchen, offering made-to-order meals such as bowls, tacos, breakfast sandwiches, BBQ and more. With its focus on quality, freshness and convenience, Food Box is poised to become a welcome new amenity for the growing Mayfair community.
