Hello! Welcome to Mayfair
Welcome to Mayfair, New Braunfels’ new hometown.
Mayfair will bring the special essence of New Braunfels together in a walkable, bikeable, hikeable, stroll to dinner, bike to work, walk to school setting surrounded by hundreds of acres of parks, trails and open spaces to highlight the beauty of the area.
Mayfair’s vision has been carefully framed by listening sessions with neighbors and community stakeholders, to collaborative sessions with City and County leaders. We’ve heard what people want, and don’t want in the area, and are shaping that feedback into a dynamic reality that we’ll all be proud of.
Throughout the design and planning process for Mayfair, we will draw from the natural beauty of the surrounding Hill Country and the quaint hometown charm of New Braunfels, San Marcos and other nearby cities and towns. With Mayfair located within Texas’ “innovation corridor,” we are also going to take the opportunity to build the technology, infrastructure and conveniences of a modern and connected city. This will be a place where you can live, work and play all within a tight knit Hill Country community.
While we don’t have all the details just yet, we are excited to get to work! Construction is set to begin later this year and the first phase of homes are expected to be completed in 2023. At that same time you’ll start to see other retail and employment additions and parks and open spaces come to life.
Over the next 10-15 years the Mayfair community will introduce a wide variety of shopping, dining, recreation, lodging and housing options including: single-family homes, apartments, townhomes, duplexes and more. Homes will span from entry level, move-up and beyond, and will introduce innovative and dignified solutions to the need for affordable housing in our area.
In total, Mayfair will be an 1,880 acre community designed to be fully walkable and bikeable through a 35-mile network of trails and bike lanes. With over 300 acres of public parks and a 160-acre employment park, 120 acres of mixed-use development and four new Comal ISD schools, this mixed-use community will be the perfect place to start your life, raise your family or retire – or it can be your forever home and include all three.
