Mayfair Voted Best Neighborhood in 2026 Best of New Braunfels
Mayfair is honored to be named Best Neighborhood in the Herald-Zeitung’s 2026 Best of New Braunfels. Following two voting periods in April and June, homeowners and New Braunfels community members chose Mayfair as this year’s top neighborhood, a recognition that was especially meaningful as one of New Braunfels’ newest master-planned communities.
Beyond the beautiful homes, fun lifestyle and desirable amenities, the award speaks to the people who have embraced Mayfair from the beginning and to our partners at The Neighborhood Company, who’ve helped shape the community into a place where neighbors become great friends. Throughout the voting process, homeowners shared heartfelt testimonials about what they love most about living here, and their enthusiasm helped make this honor possible.
The timing couldn’t be better. Mayfair has celebrated several exciting milestones this year, including the opening of Celebration Hall in Midtown Mayfair, which welcomed visitors during the 3rd annual Mayfest and offered a first look at the community’s newest gathering hub. Later this month, homeowners will make another splash when the highly anticipated Midtown Swim Club pool opens, adding even more opportunities to relax, play and connect with neighbors.

Families have already celebrated the successful inaugural school year at Comal ISD’s Mayfair Elementary, and excitement continues to build as Major Middle School takes shape ahead of its planned Fall 2027 opening. The recent opening of Costco within the community has brought everyday shopping just minutes from home, with even more retail and dining destinations on the horizon.
Winning Best Neighborhood is an incredible milestone, but for Mayfair, it’s also a reminder that the best chapters are still ahead. As the community continues to grow, so do the opportunities to celebrate and create the kind of hometown we’re proud to call home!
