This fall, the bell will ring on a brand-new elementary school right in Mayfair. And just around the corner will a new Comal ISD middle school campus, too. So a great education is just a short walk or bike ride away.
Mayfair Elementary
Opening this August
Ground has been broken on a new neighborhood elementary. The innovative new school features flexible maker spaces, promoting creativity and collaboration. Each grade level is housed in its own dedicated classroom wing. The schoolyard inspires outdoor learning and play. Multiple security layers are built in to provide a safe learning environment. And this fall the bell will ring, inviting Mayfair’s youngest students to class.
New Comal ISD Middle School
Coming fall 2027
Adjacent to Mayfair’s new elementary school, a Comal ISD middle school is being planned. The state-of-the-art school will provide a well-rounded education for students, grades 6 through 8, in and around Mayfair. Better yet, it’s an easy walk from the newest neighborhoods, and Mayfair’s community bike lanes and trailways make getting there more fun.

Canyon Middle School
Academic UIL programs, critical writing skills, 13 athletic programs, competitive chess, and Pre-SATs for every student are some of the Canyon Middle School hallmarks. With a student body brought together through a dedicated staff and strong community connections.

Advanced Placement Credits/University of Texas Onramps, a College & Career Center, 16 athletic programs, 97% SAT participation, a student orchestra and 18 curriculum pathways that let students find their strengths are just a few of the things that set Canyon High School apart. All guided by a staff with high expectations for every student.
