Celebrations, Concerts, and Fun in New Braunfels This Summer

As New Braunfels kicks into gear for the summer, residents and visitors alike can join celebrations, concerts, outdoor events, and many other spaces to enjoy community, food, and activities for the family. Whether you’re celebrating the Fourth or just out for a relaxing weekend, there are many events for you to attend and enjoy the community and culture of Hill Country.

Music Events, Concerts, and Shows

There are numerous venues and restaurants that offer live music and concerts in New Braunfels. You can wander through the vibrant live music scene all summer long.

Endless Summer, America’s Beach Boy Experience

On June 18th, Endless Summer, the top Beach Boys tribute band, is at The Brauntex Performing Arts Theatre. Offering a fun and faithful experience, these exceptional performers bring surf music to New Braunfels, launching the city into summer.

Krause’s Cafe

Krause’s Cafe is a nod to the area’s German heritage and offers delicious food and frequent live music events. Some upcoming events planned for the summer are:

  • George Marsh on June 6th
  • Bucksnort Boogie Boys on June 13th
  • Movin’ Melvin Brown on June 20th
  • The Lonely Hearst Club on June 27th

The dining room seats up to 130, and the main bar seats up to 350. In addition to local musicians, events in Krause’s Cafe include karaoke, beer stein-holding competitions, and more.

Make Music Day

Make Music Day is on June 21st, and the community in New Braunfels is ready to celebrate the Solstice and a day of music. Celebrations are occurring all over the city and all day, including at Market Plaza from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with live music, outdoor games, and hands-on art.

Freiheit County Store

The Freiheit County Store has a fun atmosphere and hosts karaoke, trivia, live music, and other events. Some plans for the summer include:

  • Rio Tripiano on several Thursdays throughout the summer
  • JR Herrera Band on June 5th
  • Mario Flores and the Soda Creek Band on June 13th
  • Perfect Stranger on June 20th

The store is 21+ only after 9 p.m., so keep that in mind if you want to enjoy an event with the family.

Whitewater Amphitheater

Whitewater Amphitheater is an iconic music venue along the Guadalupe River offering expansive views and an exceptional setting for outdoor concerts and live music. It has a capacity of 5,600, and this summer, it is hosting the following shows:

  • Alabama on June 6th
  • Bob Dylan on June 30th
  • Randy Rogers Band on July 11th
  • Dwight Yoakam on July 18th
  • Hudson Westbrook on August 14th & 15th

The venue provides Texan hospitality to residents, visitors, and those new to New Braunfels.

Live @ Landa: Concert in the Park

Live @ Landa free Concerts in the Park series has upcoming shows on June 18th and July 4th. It offers free live music from local musicians, delicious cuisine from food trucks, kids’ activities, family-friendly fun, and a lovely atmosphere to enjoy.

Markets, Food, and Shopping

Markets in the area offer weekly enjoyment for locals and visitors. They provide a range of vendors and goods to explore as you savor your time in the neighborhood.

First Friday

On the first Friday of every month, you can join First Friday in Downtown New Braunfels from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for shopping, giveaways, live entertainment, local artist demonstrations, and activities. This hub of community started in March and will continue throughout the summer until October.

Art Haus

Also occurring every first Friday of the month, Art Haus is an art market in downtown New Braunfels operating from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It hosts a collection of local artists, on top of music and a community atmosphere. Artist vendors sell everything from jewelry to pottery and textiles.

New Braunfels Farmers Market

Open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the New Braunfels Farmers Market boasts over 70 vendors and live music. You may be in the market for fresh produce, local art, home goods, pantry items, food, and drinks, and this market has it for you!

The Local Corner Market

Hosted every Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Local Corner Market at Faust Brewing Company provides a market experience for those in the area who want to kick off their weekend right. It offers local and fresh produce and breakfast until noon.

Outdoor Events and Celebrations

In addition to markets and outdoor concert venues, there are many other outdoor celebrations and events taking place in New Braunfels that can make your summer one to remember.

Juneteenth Celebration

For Juneteenth this year, celebrate in New Braunfels at Fischer Park at a free community event from 9 a.m. to noon. The celebration is a collaboration between the City and the MLK Foundation. It includes a story walk through the park to the Nature Education Center, and live music.

2026 Dos Rios 5k Splash and Dash

On the morning of June 20th, the coolest race in Texas occurs alongside two rivers and three parks with mid-race river floating, offering beautiful scenery and a fun challenge for racers.

Zipp Family Sports Park Community Grand Opening

From 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 30th, the Zipp Family Sports Park, a sports recreational complex, has its grand opening celebration.

Yoga Underground at the Natural Bridge Caverns

You can enjoy a relaxing yoga experience in a natural well of relaxation in Natural Bridge Caverns, which has a natural ballroom dome and a resonant sound bath. These experiences are limited to 65 participants, and occur on June 27th and August 29th.

Fourth of July Parade

The all-day Fourth of July Parade in New Braunfels offers a small-town parade around the Main Plaza at 9:15 a.m., a musical program from the New Braunfels Community Band, and community events throughout the day. After sunset, the fireworks in Landa Park begin.
